Are you looking to reduce stress, build strength, enhance functioning, and have a lot of fun?

That’s what Kama Kat Yoga private sessions are all about!

We start the session with foundational yoga poses. First I model the pose, explaining how and why we practice it. Then you practice the pose and I help adjust you. We hold the poses for longer periods of time than in a vinyasa class. This ensures that we trigger the Parasympathetic Nervous System for stress reduction.

Every session is completely tailored to your individual needs. As I observe your alignment, I will lead us through poses that are best suited to your body. Every practice is modified to your ability. The session is like a conversation that flows according to your energy of that moment.

Each session is one hour in a private yoga studio. I will have all the mats and equipment that we need. All you have to do is wear clothing that is comfortable for exercise.

Afterwards, I will send you any special information from our session, as well as a short home regimen based off our session (~10 minutes). Remember that it’s better to do a little bit of yoga everyday. That brain always wants homeostasis—yoga is how we create a new way of being.

What is a private yoga session like?

A private yoga session with me is like a typical personal training session, in that we work one-on-one through practices that are tailored specifically to you. When teaching a new pose, I will model it for you and explain how and why we practice it. When you practice the pose, I will adjust your alignment and encourage you towards your full potential. We are always working on getting deeper into the pose. I also will guide you through mindful breathing exercises.

Private yoga sessions give you the most efficient work and are also the most fun!

What should I bring to the session?

Please bring clothing that is comfortable for normal exercise. There will always be a bathroom available for you to change clothes. And that’s it! I will provide all the mats and equipment that we need.

How does yoga help sexual wellness?

I find that yoga helps sexual wellness primarily through pelvic floor toning and stress reduction.

How often should I practice yoga?

Science teaches us that it’s better to practice a little bit of yoga everyday, than something like one longer session per week.

That’s because the brain always wants homeostasis. When we practice yoga, the Parasympathetic Nervous System is activated to calm our stress response. When we practice everyday, we train the brain to adopt a new homeostasis in which our nervous system is calm. Learn more about this approach here. 

For this purpose, I send a custom 10-minute home practice to my private clients after our session.

How do I book my first session?

Please contact me here to schedule your first session. I usually book about a week in advance with flexible availability. We always meet at a private yoga studio for the first session although subsequently you may schedule sessions in your residence.
